Smith Fellows Request for Proposals Announced!

The Society for Conservation Biology is pleased to solicit applications for David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowships.

The deadline to apply for a 2016 Smith Fellowship is 11 September 2015.

These two-year postdoctoral fellowships in conservation research enable outstanding early-career scientists to improve and expand their research skills while directing their efforts towards problems of pressing conservation concern.

Please visit the proposal guidelines page of the Smith Fellows website to learn about eligibility criteria, award terms, and the application process.

The Smith Fellows Program is a partnership between SCB and the Cedar Tree Foundation. Questions about the program may be directed to Program Coordinator, Shonda Foster.

Professional development retreats are an important part of the Smith Fellowship. The latest retreat in April 2015 took place near Point Reyes National Seashore, California.
